Setting up of the “Assam Institute of Parliamentary Studies and Training”: This institute is proposed to be set up along the lines of the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training, Govt. of India. The necessary help and guidance shall be obtained from the Govt. of India in this regard.
This institute will cater to capacity building of the stakeholders including the legislators, officials, students, etc. in parliamentary practices and institutions, as well as the functioning of the Govt.'s policies and programmes in a two-way process.
A concept note in this regard shall be drafted shortly after due consultations. The costs of the institute shall be borne by the Parliamentary Affairs Deptt.
