History of Parliamentary Affairs Department

  • 1. The Parliamentary Affairs Department is the nodal department coordinating with different department of Govt. of Assam and Assam Legislative Assembly.

    2. The Department is also preparing Governor's Address every year for the Budget Session which is held in the month of February/March in every year.

    3. The Parliamentary Affairs Department is the authorized department to issue notification order in respect of Guardian Ministers of the districts and also distribution of portfolios among the Ministers as per direction of Hon'ble Chief Minister from time to time.
